About Woodzi

Woodzi Art

Bio

Woodzi began her artistic career studying classical painting at Tyler School of Art. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic led her to reassess the importance of community and connection, which shifted her focus toward event planning and local engagement. During this time, she organized and executed a variety of community events in South Philadelphia, including block parties, fundraisers, face painting, and weddings, fostering a deep appreciation for the impact of shared experiences.

Now, Woodzi balances her passion for art with her dedication to community, working as an event coordinator by day and creating art by night. Whether through large-scale murals or intimate gatherings, her work is driven by a desire to connect, uplift, and inspire. With a strong belief in the power of positivity, she strives to leave every space and community better than it was before, blending creativity and collaboration to make a lasting impact.

Artist Statement

I am a traveling artist with a background in fine arts, having studied at Tyler School of Art in Pennsylvania. My artistic journey began in traditional painting, but over time, I expanded my practice to include digital media and spray paint, allowing me to explore new techniques and push creative boundaries. As an international muralist, my work has been showcased in diverse locations, with recent projects in Whistler, Canada, and throughout the United States and beyond. My focus on large-scale murals has led me to engage with a variety of cultures and environments, enriching my ability to create site-specific works that resonate with local communities. I am passionate about transforming public spaces and sharing my art with the world, and my mural projects continue to grow in both scope and influence.
